VACANCY: CREDIT CONTROLLER (3 MONTHS TEMPORARY CONTRACT)

South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA), a non-profit company based in Parktown, has a vacancy of a Credit Controller. This is a temporary position that reports to the Manager: Admin, Sales and Revenue Compliance. SAMPRA issues licences to music users, collects, manages and distributes royalties on behalf of its members.

MAIN PURPOSE

Collect all outstanding revenue by communicating with customers and resolving all their queries. Play a supporting role to the Finance Team where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact all customers with outstanding debt per prescribed protocols and request
  • Record notes on each customer interaction per internal system
  • Resolve customer queries and communicate outcomes to line
  • Identify, investigate and allocate customer receipt per bank statement with supporting documents.
  • Verify the accuracy of the proof of payment received in comparison to the bank
  • Process refund and journal requests according to internal
  • Investigate and allocate unallocated
  • Investigate and match unmatched
  • Complete and submit vendor
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of computer-generated invoices, credit notes, early settlement discount credit notes and bad debt credit notes.
  • Prepare Accounts Receivable reconciliation and analysis
  • Process monthly Customer Statement Report on scheduled dates and ensure all customer transactions (invoices, Credit, Notes, Journals) have been processed prior to statement run.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric with accounting or a relevant diploma from a recognized institution or equivalent
  • Working experience in Pastel Accounting or related
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a credit control
